Dr. Mahsa Boroushaki
Co-Founder | Chief Research & Strategy Officer (CRSO)

Ali Ghafourian is a construction planning and project controls professional with over 17 years of experience delivering complex construction and infrastructure projects across New Zealand and internationally.

He holds Master of Industrial Engineering (Engineering Management)—a multidisciplinary engineering discipline focused on systems thinking, optimisation, process improvement, and operational excellence. This unique academic foundation, combined with extensive industry experience, has shaped Ali's passion for transforming construction project delivery through innovation.

Having spent over a decade working on the contractor side, Ali has first-hand experience of the challenges faced by planners, project managers, and site teams—from developing tender and contract programmes to managing progress updates, Extension of Time (EOT) claims, delay analysis, recovery programmes, and project controls. He has also worked from the client perspective, giving him a well-rounded understanding of the priorities, expectations, and challenges faced by clients, consultants, and contractors alike.

Throughout his career, Ali has contributed to a diverse portfolio of projects, including airports, rail infrastructure, hospitals and mental health facilities, retirement villages, aged care developments, commercial offices, hotels, residential apartments, warehouses, civil infrastructure, and heritage building refurbishments.

Recognising the growing opportunity for artificial intelligence to transform project controls, Ali co-founded TektraX with a vision to equip construction professionals with intelligent tools that simplify complexity, improve decision-making, and help deliver more successful projects.

Dr. Amir HajiRassouliha
Co-Founder | Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Dr. Amir HajiRassouliha is an accomplished artificial intelligence and software engineering leader with over a decade of experience developing AI-powered products and leading high-performing engineering teams. As Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of TektraX, he is responsible for the company's technology vision, software architecture, and AI innovation, ensuring that cutting-edge research is transformed into scalable, secure, and commercially valuable solutions.

Amir holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision from the University of Auckland. Throughout his career, he has led AI, data science, and software engineering teams across both research and industry, delivering intelligent systems that solve complex real-world problems in construction, transport, and engineering. His expertise spans artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, software architecture, and engineering leadership.

A passionate advocate for practical AI, Amir believes technology should simplify complexity and create measurable value for its users. His approach combines technical excellence with a strong focus on product quality, scalability, and customer outcomes, enabling organisations to confidently adopt AI as part of their everyday operations.

At TektraX, Amir leads the development of the AI platform that powers intelligent project controls, bringing together advanced machine learning, modern software engineering, and deep technical expertise to help reshape the future of construction planning and project delivery.

Co-Founder | Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Dr. Mahsa Boroushaki is a researcher and strategic advisor specialising in operations and supply chain management, project management, and sustainability. As Co-Founder and Chief Research & Strategy Officer of TektraX, she leads the company's research and helps shape its strategic direction, ensuring advances in AI are translated into tools that work on real construction projects.

Mahsa holds a PhD from the University of Auckland, where her research addressed optimisation, supply chain systems, and sustainable decision-making. Alongside her work at TektraX, she teaches at postgraduate level and publishes internationally in operations management and supply chain optimisation. At TektraX, she ensures the systems the company builds are grounded in evidence about what actually improves decision-making and project performance.

Her belief is that technical sophistication counts for little unless it earns the trust of the people using it. That principle shapes TektraX's approach to project governance and control — building systems that are rigorous, dependable, and genuinely useful to the industry they serve.
